Welcome to Waldron’s Warriors in honor of my Dad, David Waldron. He’s always been proud to be a Stillwater Warrior (his high school) so the name of this team honors him and all his fellow ALS Warriors.
As a clinician in the VA I have treated many patients with ALS and have watched this disease turn Veterans’ lives and their families upside down.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
In February of this year ALS got personal. My Dad was diagnosed February 26th of this year and his disease progression has been fast and has certainly turned our world upside down.
