In 2015 my family received devastating news on my grandfather’s health. My Papa was diagnosed with ALS. My grandfather is the rock and the foundation of our family & I personally consider him to be my best friend! Papa is a creative & beautiful mind, the hardest worker, & the kindest soul. He is the ultimate gentleman & is a role model to everyone in his life. When my grandfather was in high school, he loved playing football & was the captain of his high school team! He played as #32 & the number has been significant to my family ever since. Growing up it has been a tradition for his grandchildren to wear #32 on their sports jersey’s. I’m sure as a teenager the thought of his grandchildren choosing to wear his number one day was the furthest thing from his mind! With the number being so sacred, I truly cannot imagine a better team name to support my sweet Papa in his courageous fight! TEAM #32 is working tirelessly to #TackleALS! In January 2017, I decided to become an ALS Advocate & to raise funding towards research, treatment, & a cure. I’m honored to be participating in the Nashville Walk to Defeat ALS coming up on October 23rd, 2021, & I hope that you will join Team #32 & I in reaching our fundraising goals in the hopes to #TackleALS!
