On a Personal Note:

My mom was diagnosed with ALS in 2014.  It only took a few short years for this horrible disease to take her away from me.  I will never again feel her arms around me in a hug, hear her infectious laughter or see her beautiful smile.  

Losing someone you love is always heart breaking but to lose someone that should have and could have lived much much longer is terrible.  I don't want anyone else to have to suffer the heart ache, pain, loss and confusion of ALS.
